Our version of marriage therapy!

We were at the bookstore and I thought this was a hoot!  I kept messing with Gary by holding up the book way high for all to see.  It wasn't so funny when the tables were turned after he grabbed "my book" and did the same!

A No-Win Situation

I hate to admit this but I've been gaining some weight lately (I'd like to blame it on hanging out with my husband and his beastly appetite).  And so while changing after getting out of the shower, I pleadingly said to him, "Please start telling me I'm getting fat."

He looks up at me and chuckles, "Are you insane?  You want me to say what???  I want to live to 40!"

Smart man.

Marry again?

Pooka was eating the last bit of her lychee pudding as she asked, "Ma, where'd you get this?"

I said, "At the Filipino store."  Then Gary comically added, "Yup, and we were holding hands at the store."

Pooka immediately quipped, "What!  Did you marry each other again?"

We so laughed at this then Gary asked, "Would you let me marry your Mama again?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because I want to marry you."

I smiled, "You want to marry Uncle Gary?"

And Pooka goes, "Yes, because I love him."

How innocently sweet she is.

Dinner!

Megan and I shared one, Gary ate the other two.  We started eating at around 7:30 and it's way past the kids' bedtime at nine and he's still at it...

Geez.

PS. Pooka's still up (just got out of the shower) and she just said to Gary - You're the only one still eating!  Everyone else is done!

Pooka's 1st haircut with me

It was like taking her to the dentist!  Same ol' tantrums on the floor, the wiggling, whining, buttheadedness.  Arrghhhh!
